It’s ok though because there is nothing prettier than spring in the Smoky Mountains, and there are tons of fun family-friendly things to do in the area on Easter weekend we have to look forward to.

Easter Sunrise at Ober Gatlinburg

What better way to start off your family’s Easter Sunday than with a sunrise service at Ober Gatlinburg at the top of Mount Harrison? Lead by the Gatlinburg Ministerial Association, this year marks the 17th annual for the Easter tradition for the Gatlinburg ski resort.

The service is projected to last roughly 30-40 minutes, and all offering funds will be used by the Association to reinvest in the Smoky Mountain community. A free breakfast buffet will be available following the service until 10:30 a.m.

Free tram rides running every 15 minutes to the top of the mountain will begin at 5:45 a.m. and will last until 6:30 a.m. Free parking will be provided to worshipers choosing to drive to the resort. The best part of this event, is it is just a short drive for guests choosing to stay inside one of our spacious condos in Gatlinburg.

Great Smoky Easter Arts & Crafts Show

sunrise in the Smoky MountainsRunning April 15-19, the Great Smoky Master Arts & Crafts Show is a great way to introduce your kids to the many talented artists that call the Smoky Mountains home. Not to mention, you may find the perfect last-minute addition for this year’s Easter basket. Along with the handcrafted trinkets, there will be also be several demonstrations for visitors to enjoy.

Located at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, the Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts show is free and open to the public.

Brunch with the Easter Bunny

In case the sunrise service is just a little too early, families can still find a fun morning activity by deciding to enjoy a delicious brunch with the Easter Bunny at the Old Mill Pottery House Cafe & Grille. Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. Along with brunch, there will be several kid-friendly activities and door prizes. To make your reservations today, call (865) 453-6002.
